MMSA Title: Project Manager, STEM Guides
Jennifer Atkinson joined MMSA in January 2015. She graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School with a concentration in Public Interest Law and holds a degree in Zoology from Connecticut College. Jennifer worked with and for non-profit organizations in New England as a staff attorney, a program director, and an independent consultant. Her work in education has included multi-year programming in public schools developing, directing, and helping to evaluate programs that train and support teachers in the use of place-based education methods and models. Jennifer is particularly interested in the intersection between STEM education and rural community development and greatly enjoys cultivating the development of STEM learning landscapes across formal and informal educators, students, families and community. Currently she serves as the Project Manager for the STEM Guides Project. Since 2013, she has also had a part-time immigration law practice. When not working for MMSA or in her law practice, Jennifer’s life revolves around family, friends, pottery and her love of the outdoors.
