What is your STEM passion area: Math, for obvious reasons……I love finance.
What do you like most about your role at MMSA: I love that I can support multiple projects and my work is ever evolving.
What did you do before you worked at MMSA: I have 11 years in federal grant management and Maine school finance.
What do you like to do in your free time: Scrapbook and camping
Heather’s Bio: I am the new Finance Director at MMSA. I started part time in August 2021 but am now full time. I have worked the last 12 years in school finance and federal grant management, where I have had the opportunity to manage grants from all angles. I look forward to bringing my knowledge and expertise, as well as, my outside the box thinking to MMSA and helping us reach more teachers and students world wide. I have a passion for education and identify as a life long learner. I love knowing that the hard work I do behind the scenes helps to make a difference in a students’ life.
I am a mom to four wonderful kids ranging in ages 5 to 21 including my 5 year old twins. I am a grandmother to a wonderful grandson that is 5 months old. My family and I enjoy camping, boating, and all things outdoors. For fun and relaxation I enjoy spending time scrapbooking all my wonderful memories to share with my family for years to come.
