What is your teaching/learning philosophy: Everyone has something they can teach you if you’re willing to learn from them.
What is your STEM passion area: Mathematics and physics, because of the tools they offer that equip you to broaden your understanding of the world.
What do you like most about your role at MMSA: I like being able to work for an organization whose goal is to improve the lives of Maine residents through education.
Favorite STEM-related memory: Winning the Granite State Regional Championships with my high school FIRST Robotics team.
What did you do before you worked at MMSA: Many things – I was a teaching assistant, research assistant, financial aid officer, project engineer, and auto parts retailer. Education has allowed me to improve my life and standing in the world, which motivates me to pass along those opportunities to others.
What do you like to do in your free time: I enjoy puzzles, spending quality time with my family, games, and I love a good story.
