Even during the pandemic, your entire school can come together! Family Code Night has grown into an exciting new movement called CS is Elementary, and we’re inviting you to take part! What does that mean, exactly? It’s pretty simple. Visit CSisElementary.org to sign your school up for one of their free virtual Family Code Nights. In the past, we’ve asked schools to host these events on-site, which required a facilitator and volunteers. Now all you need to do is spread the word among your families to get them to sign up and participate from home!
Our goal is for families in 20% of elementary schools in each county to partake in a virtual Family Code Night. Not familiar with Family Code Night? It’s a lively family event where children and their parents experience their first hour of coding together. They team up to complete engaging online puzzles, all while learning important coding concepts. It’s really a lot of fun.
