21st Century Community Learning Centers – ACRES Free Coaching (Cohort B) *Past Event*
Do you work with a 21 Century Community Learning Center? Are you looking to improve your practice and connect with like-minded afterschool-providers? Our ACRES project (Afterschool Coaching for Rural Educators in STEM) is currently recruiting for our fall cohorts. You can choose to participate during the school day or in the evening, depending on your schedule. There is no fee to participate and stipends are provided. Now is a great time to improve your STEM facilitation skills and to increase your STEM activity repertoire.
The ACRES project is a series of professional development sessions that will take place over the 2016-2017 year. The PD cycle includes learning new skill, recording yourself teaching and then in a supportive non- judgemental cohort you will receive coaching. Five skills will be addressed next year.
Need more reasons to join? Here’s is what our most recent research indicates:
- 96% of ACRES participants would recommend the course to someone else.
- 93% of participants would take another course in the same format.
- 89% of participants felt their work with youth changed after taking an ACRES course.
We would love to have you join our 21 st CCLC cohort. If you are interested, please contact the ACRES team at acres@mmsa.org.
