Building Capacity for Next Generation Science Teaching (Grades K-12)


WHO WILL BENEFIT:

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

 

  • Experience NGSS designed learning experiences.
  • Analyze student artifacts and videos from NGSS designed learning experiences.
  • Develop and modify NGSS designed instructional materials.
  • Prepare for, implement, and reflect on NGSS designed lessons.
  • Engage in coaching focused on Next Generation Science Teaching.
DETAILS: MMSA and NGSX in partnership with the Maine Department of Education, the Maine Science Teachers Association, and Thomas College are excited to be offering a professional learning pathway aimed at preparing classroom teachers, instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and administrators to understand and implement the changes in science teaching and learning.

Estimated Cost:

  • On site workshop: $1650/day plus travel
  • Virtual options (synchronous/asynchronous):
    $200 per contact hour
