Creating Problem-Solvers in Maine: Fostering an Engineering Mindset

Are you hoping to bring engineering into your out-of-school programming but unsure where to start? The engineering mindset can turn your learners into problem solvers and deep thinkers. Come discover how to engage youth in hands-on curriculum based on real-world challenges, and foster innovators of the future. In this workshop you will:

                • Define engineering in the context of STEM
                • Engage in the engineering design process
                • Explore engineering habits of mind
                • Walk through a time-tested, vetted curriculum for out of school settings
                • Connect with fellow Maine out of school educators

This workshop series will be held from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM on the following dates:

  • September 13th
  • January 10th
  • March 14th
  • May 9th

Location: Virtual

Cost: $250/person + Cost of Materials and Access to Curriculum 

This workshop series is open to out-of-school educators in Maine.
