How can Project-Based Learning (PBL) empower students to take ownership over their learning in mathematics? This session is intended for 6th-12th Grade educators who are interested in building their understanding of the benefits of project-based learning and the components of effective PBL projects. Participants will look at PBL exemplars and consider how these principles could be implemented in their classes. During the workshop, they will also spend time developing driving questions, planning for project scaffolds and practicing aligning projects to specific Math standards (Maine Learning Results, CCSS) while exploring how they might integrate standards from other disciplines as well.
Workshop is for 6-12 educators, curriculum coordinators and coaches.
