Learn more about Modeling Science Processes through a virtual workshop, followed by video-recorded practice and a coaching session with other afterschool educators.
Science processes involve asking questions, developing and using models, and analyzing and interpreting data in order to make explanations based on evidence. This module focuses on supporting students in asking investigable questions and planning and carrying out investigations. During this module, we will also continue deepening our ability to ask
purposeful questions, and consider similarities and differences with asking questions in science versus asking questions in engineering contexts.
We’re looking for people who:
- Have taken an ACRES course before, completing at least the Asking Purposeful Questions module
- Have consistent interactions with youth
- Are looking to deepen their practice in guiding youth through science processes
