What is your teaching/learning philosophy: If research was easy everyone would be doing it!

What is your STEM passion area: Actually I love all areas of STEM but have recently focused on increasing the participation of underserved populations in technology and engineering.

What do you like most about your role at MMSA: Helping teachers to engage their students in authentic research experiences.

Favorite STEM related memory: Watching a student I mentored win the Regeneron Science Talent Search in 2016.

What did you do before you worked at MMSA: I was the Science Department Head and STEM Director at Bangor High School.

What do you like to do in your free time:I love cycling and particularly enjoy touring and bike-packing.

What memory from your childhood would you like to share that exemplifies why you do the STEM education related work that you do: I remember all the great mentors/teachers I had who inspired me to work hard and not give up.
