Kennebec Water District Learning New Tricks

Category: Middle School |
Teacher: Virginia Brackett |
School Name: Winslow Junior High |
Location: Winslow, ME

Review: Overview of the software and processes in use at the Kennebec Water District is interesting, but goes a little into the weeds with details and technical jargon describing the process. Titles offer some good connections to computational thinking. The editing cut together a long story in a short amount of time (with jump cuts,) focusing on a few key ideas. Video ends a little abruptly, but the students appeared to have learned a lot from the community professionals they interviewed to learn about ways in which computational thinking is applied in this local job. Junior High editors demonstrated some computational thinking in their composition of the video, as well.
