Professional Learning Opportunities
FOR EDUCATORS & LEADERS

Our staff — math and science educators with years of field experience and research in the classroom and out-of-the classroom — work alongside you and your teachers to more productively engage students in science, mathematics, and integrated STEM education.

We recognize that teaching in a way that empowers all students is challenging and we know that was evermore the case this past year. As we look ahead to the new school year, full of new learning potential, consider partnering with MMSA to bring professional learning to your teachers. As part of the learning series, we include coaching support focused on student-centered learning goals and the use of formative assessment to inform instructional planning. We work closely with educators and districts to identify, gather, and analyze student and teacher outcome data to document learning and growth. Coaching can take place in-person or virtually at any grade level and we can flexibly schedule coaching sessions in teams or individual cycles

3 methods to engage with MMSA in the opportunities listed:

Option 1: Workshop Series For District(s)

Option 2: Technical Assistance

Option 3: Hosted by MMSA Events

Customize meaningful longer-term support for the educators in your district or afterschool program. These packages begin at $10,000 and provide multiple days of contact time for educators as they focus on building capacity in one of the content focus areas discussed above.

Technical Assistance contracts leverage the expertise of MMSA staff working in partnership with administrators and educators to support reform initiatives.  Support includes evaluation services, curriculum revisions, scope and sequence review, and other services as needed.  Workshops or coaching do not fall within the technical assistance category. These partnerships are charged at an hourly rate at a minimum of 40 hours per contract.

This option is meant for individuals and/or groups that want to take advantage of the MMSA learning experiences and network building opportunities found in the Workshop Series for Districts but don’t have the number of individuals or budget for the entire district to participate.  We welcome educators from anywhere to join us for a per-person fee, full and partial scholarships are available to educators serving high needs districts.
