MMSA offers consulting throughout Maine and across the country supporting growth through professional development experiences including many grant-funded options that are available free or for a reduced cost.

This introductory workshop supports teachers in developing their understanding of the three-dimensional nature of the science teaching and learning as outlined in A Framework for K-12 Science Education. Are you looking for NGSS-designed units to teach with or learn from? Are you looking for strategies, materials, and approaches that can be used in-person or during remote learning? During this virtual workshop we will explore four different open source NGSS-designed units, highlighting key NGSS strategies or techniques written into each unit. We will showcase how to transition these units to be taught in a variety of formats (in-person, in small groups, virtually, or asynchronously).
