A leader in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) professional development for over 25 years, MMSA works with both in- and out-of-school educators to support growth through robust professional learning experiences, coaching, and consulting. MMSA offers consulting throughout Maine and across the country supporting growth through professional development experiences including many grant-funded options that are available free or for a reduced cost.

An Introduction to the Next Generation Science Standards: Build Your Toolkit for Three-Dimensional Science Teaching and Learning (Grades K-12)
This introductory workshop supports teachers in developing their understanding of the three-dimensional nature of the science teaching and learning as outlined in A Framework for K-12 Science Education. NGSS Unit Sampler
Are you looking for NGSS-designed units to teach with or learn from? Are you looking for strategies, materials, and approaches that can be used in-person or during remote learning? During this virtual workshop we will explore four different open source NGSS-designed units, highlighting key NGSS strategies or techniques written into each unit. We will showcase how to transition these units to be taught in a variety of formats (in-person, in small groups, virtually, or asynchronously).
