The Maine Science Teachers Association (MSTA) is an affiliate of the National Science Teachers Association. MSTA’s motto is “Teachers and science professionals making science education happen in Maine schools and communities.” MSTA represents science teachers at all grade levels and other science professionals throughout Maine. Their goal is to encourage and promote exemplary science teaching and learning for all Maine teachers and students.
MSTA is a voluntary organization consisting of teachers and other professionals dedicated to providing information about teaching resources, professional development opportunities and new developments in all fields of science. They keep our members up to date on the latest materials, programs, events and techniques that affect science education.
Their Executive Board includes four officers along with additional board members, who together form the organization’s working group. Committees are formed and dissolved as needed and volunteers are always welcomed, you can learn more by visiting their website.
