Fluency Intervention for Students with Math Learning Disabilities
For interventionists, special educators, educational technicians, and anyone else working with students who struggle to master basic facts and develop number sense, this one day workshop will explore practical techniques for assessing student fluency knowledge and building strategies for computation with whole numbers. We will briefly explore the indicators and implications of dyscalculia, but will spend most of our time on hands-on strategies and games to increase students’ abilities to mentally represent and manipulate quantities. This workshop is open to all and is also appropriate as a continuation of the August or September Supporting Students with Dyscalculia mini series.
