Science Fairs Expand Horizons for Students
2023 was a banner year for science fairs in Maine.
Maine State Science Fair partnered with Maine colleges and universities to offer over $775,000 in scholarships to 11th and 12th graders this year.
We held our largest-ever Middle School Science & Engineering Fair with 84 students from nine schools sharing their inventions and discoveries in May.
We collaborated with The Jackson Laboratory and University of Maine at Augusta to host our first Fall Kick-off for the Maine State Science Fair. 110 teachers and students attended in person with dozens more tuning into our livestream.
