Place-Based Curriculum Resources

This locally adaptable three-dimensional instructional material and associated professional learning for elementary science is designed to support educators in incorporating locally or culturally relevant place-based phenomena into their teaching.

Place-Based Learning for Elementary Science at Scale (PeBLES2) supported educators in creating science learning experiences to help students make sense of their world by connecting to local phenomena, communities, and cultures. The curriculum the project developed is now freely available.

ACRES Out-of-School Resources

These resources provide an entry point for any one working in out-0f-school settings to engage with research-back STEM education best practices. Resources cover an array of topics, which are contained in individual modules.

ACRES was a nationally acclaimed coaching program that built knowledge and skills so afterschool educators, librarians, and anyone who works with youth in out-of-school settings could confidently facilitate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) experiences. Resources for coaches are now freely available.

PeBLES2 created instructional materials and professional learning for elementary science to support teachers in making locally and culturally relevant adaptations to phenomena. These materials are now publicly available and free to use.

This four-part AI panel series produced during the 2023-2024 school year comprised virtual presentations, each offering a deeper dive into AI in the classroom. Video recordings are available on the series website.
