Expanding access to Maine’s STEM pathways for students and employers, complementing state’s Science & Technology plan.
As one component of the larger EPSCoR MAINE-SMART project spearheaded by the University of Maine, MAINE-BRIDGE involves several partners supporting the goal of bolstering the STEM pipeline in Maine through education. The Maine-BRIDGE project aims to broaden participation in STEM fields and careers by increasing access to real-world, research-based STEM education opportunities for teachers and students.
Participation opportunity for grades 6-12 educators
Middle and high school teachers can participate in this new NSF-funded project. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience working alongside scientists, helping teachers develop research skills and gain valuable insights into data collection and analysis. Participants receive a $1200 stipend and 13 days of contact hours. Read the informational flier for full details, and use the educator registration form below to apply by February 1, 2025.
