Who knew space flight missions were happening on the ground, right here in Maine?! EDC.org and MMSA joined STEM Workforce Ready’s educators on a class trip for a day of outta-this-world STEM activities.
The incredible staff at the Challenger Learning Center in Bangor, Maine, lead virtual space missions for students, in this case, as part of MMSA’s Workforce Ready 2030 initiative.

Science teacher Kathy Bock from Cape Elizabeth Schools shares a hands-on activity using stomp rockets to connect the concept of space into existing curriculum. She shared the activity with educators at the 2024 CS Summer of Fun, with help from Educate Maine and Maine Space Corporation.
