October 7, 2026 | 12–2 PM | Virtual | Free | Part 2 of a 3-Part Series
Once you understand the foundations of NGSS, what does it look like to use them in your own programs?
In the second session of this three-part virtual series, apply your understanding of NGSS to the resources, lessons, and learning experiences you already use. Explore ways to revisit existing materials using current science teaching practices while keeping the needs of your own educational setting at the center.
What You’ll Explore
- Ways to apply NGSS to existing programs and activities
- Approaches for revisiting and revising educational resources
- Science teaching practices that can support learning and engagement
- Opportunities to put new ideas into practice in your own setting
Who Should Attend?
This series is developed for Maine informal and environmental educators working in settings such as nature centers, land trusts, libraries, camps, afterschool programs, outdoor education organizations, and other out-of-school learning environments.
This workshop is the second session in NGSS for Maine Environmental Educators, a three-part virtual series designed to build from understanding NGSS to putting it into practice and connecting with other educators.
