Erica Beck Spencer

Erica Beck Spencer is the Senior Director of Curriculum and Certificate Programs for The ESOP Association in Washington, DC but resides in Portland, Maine. She served as a curriculum specialist for the research-based Full Option Science System (FOSS), an award-winning active science program developed at the University of California for 17 years. She spear headed the Taking FOSS Outdoors feature of this program, taking this indoor program and incorporating regular outdoor activities to extend the learning to the schoolyard and was a national expert on teaching outdoors. Prior to this she taught elementary school in Portland, Boston, and Cambridge.
