With the school year in the rear-view mirror, MMSA has finally been able to reflect on our accomplishments and celebrate the importance of our work.
We’ve had a lively past few months closing out signature projects and receiving incredible grant awards that will advance STEM education in Maine. We want to share a few blog posts that recap these exciting highlights:
- MMSA will join UMaine on two NSF grants:
- The decade-long citizen science project known both as WeatherBlur and iWonder is wrapping up
- MMSA will lead an NSF-funded project called Rural Energy Futures (REF), which will work with rural schools around the state to better understand the energy sector
- $8.2 million from the Harold Alfond Foundation was awarded to MMSA to advance computer science education and workforce development in Maine
- Teach ME Outside released the 2022 Community-Based Outdoor and Environmental Learning Census (CBEL)
