Dr. Ruth Kermish Named to List of Top 50 Women Leaders

For the second year running, Dr. Ruth Kermish has been named one of the Top 50 Women Leader of Maine by Women We Admire(opens in a new tab).
Ruth has led MMSA as executive director since 2014, during which time MMSA received more than $20 million in competitive research funding for STEM education projects, reaching educators and students in every corner of Maine and every state in the country.
Not only has Ruth been a leader for MMSA in terms of growth and impact, she was recognized by Women We Admire for her volunteer work on many nonprofit boards, including the Appleton School Board, the Maine Space Grant Consortium, and the Maine Environmental Education Association
Ruth is also a strong voice for education policy, working to advance STEM education in Maine with research-backed recommendations. Recently, she served on The Maine Artificial Intelligence Task Force(opens in a new tab) as a subject matter expert in STEM education doing just that.
