Thanks to the support of the Alfond Foundation, MMSA’s “STEM Workforce Ready 2030(opens in a new tab)” (WFR) project was asked to document a cross-section of the diverse kinds of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education happening across the state of Maine.

These videos represent a year of conversations and activities with Maine’s educators and specialists dedicated to equipping Maine’s students for a world that increasingly relies on technology and science.

Join MMSA’s Digital Media Specialist, Tom Goodwin, in discovering what STEM and computer science education are, and why they’re important. Let’s explore how schools, businesses, and communities are using and teaching STEM skills as the needs of Maine’s workforce increasingly relies on computer science and a way of thinking about the world at large.
