Through MMSA’s Building Strong Foundations early numeracy initiative, more than 80 Maine PreK–2 educators gained new research-backed strategies that brought math to life through games, outdoor learning, math talk routines, and family engagement.

Building Strong Foundations was funded by the Maine Department of Education as a component of their Maine State Numeracy Action Plan(opens in a new tab). Title IIA funds received from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) support the implementation of this project.
