Through MMSA’s Building Strong Foundations early numeracy initiative, more than 80 Maine PreK–2 educators gained new research-backed strategies that brought math to life through games, outdoor learning, math talk routines, and family engagement.

Free resources created through this initiative can be found on the Numeracy in Nature(opens in a new tab) site, featuring strategies, lessons, stories, and outdoor math activities ready to use in your classroom.
